Stop comparing your practice to the other witches you see on social media. Don’t like the wording of that spell? Change it. Want to do that ritual on a different phase of the moon? Go ahead. Don’t have the money for that expensive tool? Fuck it, improvise, that’s just as good. Hate a certain color and don’t want to use it for spell work? Then don’t.

An individualized practice that actually makes you feel strongly connected to your magick will always be more powerful than mimicking the work of others you don’t feel passionate about.

Sun tea can be used in healing and during rituals and spells. You can brew it, and then bless it sunlight or just let the sun brew it (leave it out for at least an hour in direct sunlight, it takes much longer for the tea to infuse)
☀️Healing sun tea:
1 part orange peel
2 parts echinacea
½ part cloves
1 cinnamon stick
¼ part ginger root
☀️Prospertity sun tea:
2 parts ginseng/ black tea
1 part orange peel
1 cinnamon stick
1 part cardamom
☀️Relaxation sun tea:
2 tablespoons of Chamomile
2 tablespoons of dried rose petals
1 tablespoon lemon peel
☀️Floral sun tea:
(For happiness and protection)
1 part chamomile flower
1 part chrysanthemum flower
1 part marigold petal
1 part rose petal
☀️Love sun tea:
1 part orange peel
1 part rose petals
1 part hibiscus flower
1 part basil
1 part dried or fresh strawberry
🌝Charge with:
Tigers eye- strong talismans, believed a person possessing one could see everything, wealth, divination
Sunstone- protection and healing, energy boost, positive energy
Citrine- named after the French word for lemon, citron, can be used to dispel negative thoughts and energy, cleaning, purification, positivity and protection
Garnet- associated with Brigid, good for healing and creativity, energy amplifier.

🌿Healing salts🌿
Salt is very purifying, cleansing, and healing, combine it with some various healing plants and you’ve got amazing healing salts for baths, cooking, aromatherapy, and spells. It’s also a great way to preserve your herbs!
🌿 Here’s what you need:
-Salt (regular sea salt is fine but Himalayan or Celtic salt correspond more with healing in my opinion)
-fresh healing herbs/plants of your choice (can be dried but I’ve had better results with fresh)
-mortor and pestle
-somewhere to store it
🌿Here’s some recommended healing herbs/plants:
Basil- protection, prosperity, happiness // anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, appetite stimulator
thyme- healing, sleep, soothing // soothes respitory system, antiseptic, decongestant
peppermint- energy, health, vitality // nausea &vomiting, IBS, bloating
garlic- protection, banishment, healing // anti-bacterial, anti-viral, reduces infection
lemon peel- cleansing, purifying, joy // antioxidants, immune boost, kills germs
sage- protection, cleansing, wisdom // cough, antibacterial, soothes inflammation
oregano- luck, health, family // anti-virus, allergy relief, anti-inflammatory
orange peel- optimism, happiness, strength // immune boost, vitamins, antioxidants
lemon balm- healing, psychic abilities, uplifting // anti-anxiety, sleep, indigestion
parsley- calming, protection, passion // energy, circulation, digestion
rosemary- cleansing, divination, love// soothes sore muscles, soothes cough, improves memory
cinnamon- comfort, love, protection // anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, kills germs
🌿How to make it:
-Add a small handful of salt and the herb or herbs of your choice in your mortor and pestle (how much you use depends on the size of your mortor and pestle and how strong you want the salts to be)
-Grind them up until they’re mixed well and infused, the salt will most likely change color.(it’s easier to tell with fresh plants, with dried plants it’ll be more of a powder when it’s done). I like to use this time to focus on the intent!
-Pour it into an airtight container and you’re done, enjoy in a bath, in food, in spells, scrubs etc.
** please do research before consuming any herbs or plants you aren’t familiar with, especially if you’re pregnant or on medication.

Overall Recommendations:

You’re faetouched, which means that you’ve been given a gift of some fae energy that will remain with you the rest of your life and give you a slightly stronger connection to pure magic energy and to nature energy. Fae will also be more willing to work with you even though you’re human. It’s not at all like being fae incarnate, but it’s certainly a step closer to that. I can’t be certain how much of your energy signature was changed by this since I hadn’t read it before this happened to you, but now I can tell that you certainly have many characteristics of your energy that are complementary to or similar to fae energies.

Two things that all fae have in common are their connection to nature and their connection to magic. Nature and magic are at the very essence of all the faefolk, and this is also true for you to a smaller extent because now you have more of a relationship with nature that goes a bit beyond what most human beings can cultivate on their own. If you ever have an opportunity to perform spells or rituals in the middle of a forest, I would highly recommend for you. Talking to and meditating with the spirits of forest trees (as opposed to trees in other places) would be another great exercise for you. It’s still important to learn to be respectful and friendly towards fae, plant, tree, and other kinds of nature spirits, but generally it should be much easier for you to approach and work with them.

You will also find great advantages when working with herbs or other natural ingredients in spells. So herbalism and folk magic could be great potential paths for you. As you may already know, folk magic is an approach that generally taps into forging deep connections with nature and intuitive improvisation with ingredients and techniques. While there are at least as many types of folk magic as there are cultures in the world, these are common aspects to all such traditions. I suggest looking into European forms of folk magic such as German and Irish as they not only would relate to your specific ancestry, but also to working with the faefolk.
